Karen Novy is a Durham songwriter whose passion for communicating emotion and inspiring others through song is evident. Novy has a degree in K-12 Music Education and has been a performing songwriter for 30 years. At the age of 5, she began playing piano and soon after, created her first songs. Songwriting has taught Novy to express her valid, valuable emotions and that is something she imparts to youth and adults alike in her work.
