Number Drummer Live 2: Breaking Beat

Through parts (K-2) and fractions (3-5), students discover how breaking beat (rhythm) and breaking parts (fractions) are connected to music, math, and reading. Once again, up to 400 students “drum” up math to create a spectacular rhythmic performance. 50 minutes.

Special Requirements:
Open floor (gymnasium/multi-purpose room) or auditorium with fixed seating. TECHNICAL NEEDS: Screen or blank wall for projecting on (Screen can be provided, but additional set-up time is required.) All other equipment is provided (projector, sound system, mic, etc.) SET-UP TIME: 30 minutes for unloading & 60 minutes for set-up (90 minutes total). 30 minutes for knock-down. No stairs due to heavy gear on wheels. VOLUNTEERS: 1 or 2 helpers to assist with handing out instruments. (Helpers simply help to make sure students pick up an instrument as they enter the room and before they are directed to their seat.)
