Number Drummer Live
Number Drummer Live is a one-of-a-kind interactive performance where the entire audience “drums up” math to create a spectacular rhythmic performance. Every student plays an instrument and faces a game-like mission as they learn and perform drumming through mathematics. Students learn drumming through addition, money, multiplication, fractions, and more. Students learn math through beat, rhythm, timbre, form, and more. Number Drummer Live is energizing, engaging, and the ultimate interactive educational experience.
Special Requirements (Space, Tech, Volunteer): 1) Gymnasium or large open space preferred (no chairs, risers, or bleachers preferred) ~ Many schools will provide a cell phone picture of the performance space to confirm the amount of students that will fit within the performance set up. Most schools are able to comfortably accommodate between 340 and 380 students per performance; 2) 60-90 minutes for production set-up (pending projector screen set-up); 3) As close proximity as possible to performance area for unloading/loading (Large amount of equipment. Can take up to 30 minutes pending proximity); 4) Allow 10 minutes between performances for resetting instruments and transition; 5) One point of entry to performance space for easy pick-up/return of instruments; 6) 2 staff members or 4 to 6 student helpers to assist with passing out/collecting instruments. If needed, Number Drummer Live does have a large projector screen available, but it is greatly appreciated when the school has a projector screen or large blank wall in the presentation space because it greatly reduces set-up and strike time. Please notify Number Drummer if a projection surface is available.
