The Verona Quartet, String Quartet in Residence of the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle

The Verona Quartet has established itself as one of the most sought after string quartets of their generation. They have won numerous national and international competitions, and have performed in venues worldwide. As teaching artists, the quartet is on faculty at the Indiana University Summer String Academy. During their most current community engagement project at the Caramoor Center for Music in Katonah, NY, they performed and taught at over forty K-12 schools in the region. Story Telling Through Music

Performing various works, the Verona Quartet describes how composers are able to tell stories through music, and asks audience members to create their own narrative based on their interpretation of what they hear.

Duration: 30-50 minutes depending on audience

Special Requirements: 4 chairs and 2 microphones (for larger audiences)

Ensemble Workshop

The Verona Quartet works with ensembles to better understand the fundamentals and intricacies of playing as a group. Students also learn how the music gives them important clues to better understand their individual roles. Workshop Lesson Plan
