Storytelling Fun!

Develop your students listening, understanding and character as they gather around Willa Brigham for stories, songs and poetry that educate, entertain, motivate and inspire! Students will learn the basic needs of a good story; a strong opening, colorful adjectives for a detailed middle and descriptive characterization that leaves no doubt as it all comes to an explosive end!

Special Requirements (Space, Tech, Volunteer): Area with good acoustics, microphone and stage

Happy Healthy Habits

Learning good and useful habits can be fun and entertaining. In this essential residency, Willa Brigham teaches and happily reinforces the basic needs of fire and personal safety, good eating habits, dental care , and good manners. Each happy healthy habit will be introduced in an exciting sing-along story, poem or song with lots of student participation.

Four Patch Story

Students will write or rewrite a story or poem and illustrate their tale in four patches. These squares will be stitched together with a back to become their story quilt.
They will use all of the components needed to make a complete story, beginning, middle, end, conflict, action verbs, vivid adjectives, details and transition words to paint a complete picture.*3-5 days needed for residency.

Special Requirements: Clean, open space, easy access to an electric outlet.

Maximum Participants: 25

Duration and Maximum Classes Per Day: 3-5, 60 minute sessions/4 classes per day
